THURSDAY, MARCH 18
6:30 – 8:00 p.m. EST
via ZOOM Video Conference featuring: Dr. Greg Gerdeman of Weir Wellness

The use of cannabis as medicine is ancient, and has never been more popular worldwide. Dr. Gerdeman of Weir Wellness will discuss the changing legality of cannabis and how science has led the way, including a description of the human endocannabinoid system that represents the biological basis for cannabis as medicine. Dr Gerdeman is a pioneer in researching the physiology of the endocannabinoid system, and the biological rationales for cannabis as medicine. He has directed scientific activities at every level of medical cannabis supply chains, from pest management to extraction formulations to physician education. He has consulted extensively in the cannabis/hemp industries, and is a frequent lecturer at conferences and continuing medical education events. He is currently Chief Scientist at TN Farmaceuticals, co-founder of Weir Wellness Medical Cannabis Dispensary in Weirton, West Virginia, and voluntary Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida College of Pharmacy.
